In the autonomous region of Valenciana, the application for a rental licence consists of a number of steps.
- You must have civil liability insurance, including accident cover during the rental period.
- If you own a property in an urbanisation or apartment building, the co-owners' association may not prohibit holiday rentals.
- The municipality must approve your rental activity. The municipality has the right to refuse your application. In that case, you cannot obtain a letting licence.
- If your property is located in a rustic zone, there is also a public research needed to the added value of your activity in the immediate area.
- Your property must meet habitability standards, have a stable water and electricity connection and a valid conformity certificate.
Once you meet the above conditions, you can apply for a rental licence from the Valenciana Autonomous Region.
